What is Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic doctors provide holistic, patient-centered care that focuses on identifying and treating the root causes of illness rather than just managing symptoms. Using a blend of modern medical science and natural therapies, they develop individualized treatment plans that support the body’s innate ability to heal. Care may include nutrition and lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine, acupuncture, vitamin and nutrient therapy, and other evidence-informed natural treatments.
At its core, naturopathic care emphasizes prevention, education, and long-term wellness — empowering patients to take an active role in their health.
What does it look like to see a Naturopath?
Initial Consultation
60-75 minutes
Follow Up Appointment
2-6 weeks later
45-60 minutes
Follow Up Appointment
3-6 months or as needed
30-60 minutes
During your first appointment, your naturopathic doctor will conduct a thorough review of your health history, discuss your current concerns, and explore your personal wellness goals. Together, you’ll review any previous lab results and determine if additional testing is needed to gain deeper insight into your health.
Based on this assessment, your doctor may provide personalized recommendations — including dietary and lifestyle guidance, targeted supplements, or other therapeutic options — to begin creating a treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs.
Your follow-up visit is an important step in assessing your progress and reviewing any lab results or changes in your health since your initial appointment. During this session, your doctor will evaluate how your body has responded to the first phase of treatment, refine your recommendations, and build on your progress.

This appointment helps deepen your understanding of your health and ensures your treatment plan continues to be tailored to your evolving needs — keeping you on track toward lasting wellness.
Depending on the complexity of your health needs, the doctor will continue to monitor your progress and adjust your treatment plan as necessary. These visits may focus on addressing new concerns, refining existing strategies, or developing a long-term maintenance plan to help you sustain and build upon your progress toward optimal health
